  ◆ Characters
◆ Lemulene Reigraf (Lemi)
One of the Misteltia Sisters, granted the code “Minerva.” Age 16.
Her Famulus is “Brionac,” which takes the form of a spear.
She is most skilled at spatial Formulae, and her main armament is the “wind” Formula that represents them.
She has a hot-blooded, good-natured personality. Unable to overlook anyone in trouble, she has a knack for sticking her nose in and steering things toward even more troublesome situations. On the other hand, she is also rather slapdash by nature: in the middle of a mission, the moment she confirms “no life signs in the area,” she will often cut loose with a big attack without a second thought. People liken this to “Misteltia’s raging storm,” though more than a few insist “storm” is putting it far too mildly.
Her kind heart frequently brings her into conflict with the “neutrality” demanded of the Misteltia Sisters. Each time she faces such a problem, Lemi agonizes over it—and grows, little by little.
With Calen, a fellow Sister, things often escalate into all-out brawls over pudding.

◆ Azerlete Orphansark (Azel)
One of the Misteltia Sisters, granted the code “Hecate.” Age 13.
Her Famulus is “Carnwennan,” which takes the form of a thrusting blade.
She is most skilled at charge-type Formulae, and her main armament is the “lightning” Formula that represents them.
A girl who fully earns the description “little devil,” with a shrewd, crafty personality. Calculating and a master of scheming and intrigue, she is often entrusted with the role of strategist among the Sisters. In everyday life her motto is “a little spice for peaceful days,” and she loves a wager. Her most famous game is “Heaven or Hell,” in which she slips a single dud into a spread of dishes—a ploy that turns her own skill at cooking to her advantage. In wartime, by contrast, she weaves together every stratagem she can to strip away as much uncertainty as possible.
It was the Stellas who have had dealings with her in private life who dubbed that conduct “Misteltia’s little demon lord.”

◆ Pianisia von Farandole (Piany)
One of the Misteltia Sisters, granted the code “Artemis.” Age 15.
Her Famulus is “Colbrande,” which takes the form of a longsword.
She is most skilled at wave-summation Formulae, and her main armament is the “light” Formula that represents them.
By her own reckoning and everyone else’s, the one and only level-headed member of the Sisters, and a young lady of good breeding. She never lets her courteous manner slip toward anyone. Her raw combat ability is conspicuously low among the Sisters, but she possesses an “information-processing ability” that more than makes up for it. Skilled at rear support, on the battlefield she backs up her allies with all manner of disruption-type Formulae. She is also the only one able to make full use of “Active Assemble,” boasting extremely high tactical flexibility. That Misteltia Island stands as an impregnable fortress owes a very great deal to her power.
Her hidden side is a so-called fujoshi streak (a fondness for boys’-love fiction), and she often gets carried away trading talk with Chloe, who shares the same taste.

◆ Calendula Möweark (Calen)
One of the Misteltia Sisters, granted the code “Freya.” Age 16.
Her Famulus is “Aegis,” which takes the form of a shield—along with some other blunt-instrument sort of things.
She is most skilled at kinetic-acceleration Formulae, and her main armament is the “flame” Formula that represents them.
Apart from being a Stella, she also wears the face of an “idol,” and in her free time she sings and dances on stage to send her fans wild. Toward others she can be coldly detached: she embodies Misteltia’s neutrality more faithfully than anyone, with the cold resolve to cut loose those who cannot be saved—or should not be. On the other hand, when it comes to her own, she has a deep warmth, willing to put herself in danger to see them protected to the last. At every turn she breaks into brawls with Lemi, but that is itself the flip side of how strongly the two trust each other.
She often sneaks bites of Lemi’s pudding, which escalates into huge fights and earns her a thorough dressing-down from Arvel.

◆ Arvel Loculus Suzumine
Misteltia’s vice-captain, a woman whose role is to look after the Sisters in matters both public and private. Age 25.
Her combat ability is somewhat below the Sisters’, but she is still an ace-class Stella, second only to the Code Orders.
In her eyes, Piany is the class president, Azel the troublemaker, and Lemi and Calen the real problem children. Her guidance is strict at heart, and Lemi and Calen in particular live in dread of her “punishments.”
Having more years behind her, her outlook is more mature as well, and she takes on the role of guiding and supporting the Sisters whenever they run up against a wall (though, owing to the nature of a Stella, her apparent age stays around twenty).
Mostly thanks to the incidents Lemi and Calen stir up, she leads a life in which stomach medicine is rarely far from reach.
